My Darling Rose

My Darling Rose

This image is the silhouette of a rose. There are 3 thorns, three leaves on each of the three branches in the middle of the stem, and the bloomed rose at the top.
Rose Silhouette. Thorns, leaves, flower.

Tall

Too slender for your size

I immediately feel your thorns

Pricking me when I touch you

Stabbing me when you are mad

Your deep, dark green leaves

Waving from your mid-section to your neck

I pull at your mid-section

Otherwise the water gets cloudy

And your base gets slippery

Red rose is in a clear vase over scattered music sheets, filled with notes. The water in the vase is clear.
Definitely into the Music

Your life shortens

I have to cut

To keep you alive a little longer

To keep me company

To counteract my emptiness

Up your slender stem

Leads to your fitting collar, pointy at the tips

Your distinct perfume, more so delicate

You are tightly wrapped

Unwilling to open until you are ready

Yellow Rose with Guard Petals. The guard petals are the outermost petals - the ones that look like they are discolored and a bit dead.

I rescued you from a rainstorm

Guard petal drops

I nursed you back to health

Guard petal drops

I met your family, awaiting a reunion

There are about a dozen roses in this black and white image. The center rose is clear and with the least amount of covering by another rose or cut-off by the border. They are starting to bloom.
Just … a bunch of roses
